Let's All Try To Wrap Our Brains Around This Incredibly Stupid Argument For The Electoral College
Also this is your open thread!
Yesterday on Twitter, One America News Network host Liz Wheeler responded to a tweet from Bernie Sanders about abolishing the electoral college with a graphic proving that more people live on the coasts than in the middle of the country. This was meant to prove that the electoral college is indeed completely necessary.
@BernieSanders Red & orange areas have the same population. Imagine if orange elected our president every election… https: //t.co/O92SnfCoXk

Is it because people who have more space need their votes to be counted more? Should we start weighing everyone's votes differently based on the square footage of their bedrooms? If anything, this map makes the whole idea of the electoral college look even more ridiculous than it already does. Is it like a thing where people ought to trade off the privilege of living near a beach for voting power? Hypothetically, if literally everyone in the country except one guy moved to the coasts, would that mean that the one guy should have a veto on everything? Because of how much space he has?
I, for one, am very confused. Also the electoral college is stupid and it should be abolished. Anyway, this is now your open thread! Chat away!

So sorry. It’s so very hard to do. I had to do the same with our Smokey Blaze this summer and it was crushing.

Smokey Blaze was a beautiful creature. They become so much a part of us that when they aren't here there's a huge hole where a small bundle of fun use to be. Love and hugs to you HooverVilles.
