Guess Americans Don't Like Russian Agent Presidents Who Shut Down Government Forever. WHO KNEW!
Your semi-daily update on how everybody hates Trump and hopes he stubs his toe a lot!
It has been TWO SOLID DAYS since Wonkette wrote about how Americans think Donald Trump is a failure who can't govern, who can't spell, and who does other stuff bad too! Last time, it was that Trump is finally losing the Walmart cousinfucker white man cohort that supposedly "elected" him in the first place. The time just before that -- which was just over a week ago -- we looked at how America wasn't buying what President Con Man was selling with his threats to declare a NATIONAL EMERGY over WALL, and that America correctly blamed Trump for the shutdown.
Oh, also, his approval rating was like 37 percent overall.
A new Politico/Morning Consult poll shows that Trump's approval rating remains in the shitter, where it will always remain, clocking in at a solid 40 percent, which is basically the same as 37 percent, as statistics and margins of error go. But this new poll asks some different questions, on top of the normal "On a scale of one to infinity, how many words do you think the president of the United States knows? Is it five, 15, or 16 if you count BIGLY?" This one specifically asked how Americans feel about having a man who is most likely a literal actual compromised Russian intelligence asset in the White House.
This is the takeaway from that:
Only 31% of Americans feel confident that Russia is *not* blackmailing the president according to Morning Consult p… https: //t.co/QDQx8MdaLZ

That's right, in a poll where 40 percent of the people said they approved of the job the president is doing, almost a quarter of that 40 percent allows for the possibility that Putin is literally controlling the president. We don't know if those folks are saying maybe that's not such a bad thing, or if they're just that far gone (22 far right House Republicans just voted against a bill to reaffirm support for NATO, after all), but that number seems significant to us!
Meanwhile, 57 percent -- the same number of folks who hate the motherfucker's ass -- are pretty sure Putin has something on Trump.
As for WALL, and the associated Trump shutdown, here's a really fucked up number, if you're Donald Trump, or if you're the Stephen Miller whose job it is to keep his grundle cool and breezy as he sleeps, ALLEGEDLY:
While 43 percent support the construction of a border wall — compared to 49 percent who oppose construction — only 7 percent of voters said that they support dedicating funding to a border wall if it was the only way to end the government shutdown.
That's compared to 72 percent who oppose dedicating funding to a border wall if it was the only way.
It's a strangely worded question, but don't worry, the pollsters asked it a bunch of ways and gave respondents a bunch of options, so it looks like a solid number to us. Maybe a bunch of Trump supporters who aren't into America paying for the wall actually remember how Trump's promise was that Mexico was going to pay for the wall, something that (factcheck) Mexico is never fucking doing.
Hell, even when it's not WALL, but just "border security," only 34 percent of Americans support giving President Wall Baby money for that as ransom money to reopen the government.
Guys, we think Nancy Pelosi is winning this fight. BIGLY.
Some deeper numbers:
Trump's support is soft and weak and small like his hands when you break the numbers down. Only 21 percent strongly approve of the job he's doing. The strongly disapprove number, on the other hand, is 45 percent.
Speaking of soft and weak, if the 2020 election were held today, only 24 percent of Americans would definitely vote for Trump, with another 11 percent saying they guess MAYBE. Meanwhile 49 percent are solid "no" votes, with another eight percent saying probably not. Add those up and you get Trump losing57 to 35in the popular vote. That would be a fucking BLOWOUT for Kamala Harris or whichever Kamala Harris gets the Democratic nomination to be the next person in America to be known as President Kamala Harris.
Speaking of Kamala Harris, if the Democratic primary were held today, "Don't know/no opinion" is holding strong as the frontrunner! Relax, everyone, she only just announced her candidacy five seconds ago.
And that, gentle readers, is the latest news on how much everybody haaaaate Donald Trump and hopes he stubs his toe a lot today. We'll update you when his numbers get worse, like on Friday or whatever!

Pelosi could race Trump in a Chinese downhill for it.
That, and Hemingway's sentences are too long. "The day was short. It was the short day." Okay, maybe Hemingway didn't write that -- far too wordy.
